Classification
Numbers
USTRC numbers will be used. DSTRA will not adjust your number if you have a
USTRC card. If the Board of Directors agrees that your number is unjust, it
will do everything in its power to get your number adjusted with the USTRC.
DSTRA Membership
All ropers must have a current DSTRA membership card to collect winnings.
Membership cards are $60.00 per year. Cards may be purchased at ropings or by mail. USTRC cards are recommended but not
mandatory.
Double Numbers
The only way to have a double number with the DSTRA is to have a USTRC
current double number.
Fees and Membership
All DSTRA ropings will be cash only. However,
checks for membership will be accepted. DSTRA reserves the right to refuse
membership to anyone.
Minimum Ropings to
Attend Finals
To be eligible to rope in shootouts at finals, ropers must attend and
participate in at least 3 DSTRA ropings. You may
rope in preliminaries at finals if you attend and participate in at least 1
roping during the current year.
DSTRA Finals
DSTRA will hold its finals at the end of each year. Finals will have
preliminary and shootout ropings in each class. All
preliminary ropings will be 3 head progressive
after 1, enter 8 times max. Top 10% in prelims will advance to shootout.
Shootout will be 4 head progressive after 1. (5 Shootouts Max). Must have
won a shootout at DSTRA roping or top 10% in prelim.
Finals Shootouts
Each money hole in $30 ropings will earn
finals shootouts. You are limited to 5 shootouts in each class and 2 with
the same partner.
Ropers
with Over 5 Shootouts
A roper cannot compete in a single division more than 5 times. If a roper
should win more than 5 shootouts, he must take first 5 won. However, if a
roper having more than 5 shootouts has a partner within the first 5
shootouts who is not attending the finals, they may substitute a partner if
that partner has attended 3 DSTRA ropings and
their number does not exceed the division.
Finals and Added Money
10% will be held from each DSTRA roping. This money will go directly to the
finals in the form of added money and prizes It will be placed in the class from which
it was taken
Entry
Limit
Entry limit is 8 times max. in each division.
Entering over 8 times will result in forfeit of entry fees.(except for the
#13 and #8 they are 9 times)
Cut Off Times
There will be an 17 second cut off in ropings
with over 100 entries. 16 seconds cut off if over 200 teams. 15 seconds if
over 300 teams. Exception: The # 8 roping will have no cut off regardless
the number of teams.
Rope off
All ties will be roped off. You must be present for rope off, or you
will forfeit the prize.

Up Clock
Any roping using electric timers shall be required to use a minimum of one
hand stopwatch as a backup.
DSTRA reserves the right to pull
any steer out of a roping at any time. This does not necessarily mean a
rerun for that team. All reruns will be run at the end of the round.
Quick
Release is
required if you tie off.
